This bill is to introduce true competition between education institutions. We also propose to introduce vouchers and subsidies to ensure all children, regardless of their parent's position in society, will have an equal chances. Message | Public Education is one of the great accomplishments of the modern era. To have it torn down would be disasterous for society. Just because public education is not perfect, does not mean it should be completely dismantled. If the public schools were replaced by private schools and vouchers, because it is cheaper to educate rich children than it is to educate poor children. Only the rich will have greater choice in education. Hence the free-market policies will only work for the rich. |
