Message | For Kundrati reminds the parliamentary parties that this does not ensure that Kundrati will do any of the activities outlined in the bill - it rather removes the possibility that our nation will have to use these capabilities at some point and be disallowed to do so. These are special measures, and we must keep our options open for the national defense. |
Date | 02:03:49, May 21, 2022 CET | From | Kundrati Democracy | To | Debating the National Defense Act |
Message | What this country needs is an air of unity. This bill aims to achieve that through ensuring people are fit to provide arms to the state and provide defence to our homeland when the time comes. We shall, therefore, never leave the door open to foreign threats and this bill aims to achieve the closure of the enemy door. |
Date | 05:53:15, May 21, 2022 CET | From | KFA | To | Debating the National Defense Act |
Message | “We do not need special measures. Are we even in very special times? I don’t believe that we have an urgent security threat to prepare for. Our intelligence capabilities as well as the current modernization programs in place are enough in our opinion in ensuring the safety of our citizens.” |
Date | 07:21:22, May 21, 2022 CET | From | For Kundrati | To | Debating the National Defense Act |
Message | As was stated previously, we are of the opinion that it is not because of, but rather in preparation for, an exceptional situation that we should keeo the doors open for our military. The people will be able to sleep easier at night knowing that their government has the ability to protect them with the full force reasonably available. |
Date | 16:42:59, May 21, 2022 CET | From | Socialist Labour Party | To | Debating the National Defense Act |
Message | This is simply militarization for the sake of militarization. Had there been a recent threat to Kundrati or in our neighbours, then one could see why this bill was proposed, but at the moment, there's no reason to enact special and dramatic measures Even if it would somehow make the people feel safer knowing we can use nuclear arms to end generations in a different country. Should we not trust in the ability of words and diplomacy? |
Date | 19:06:00, May 21, 2022 CET | From | Kundrati Democracy | To | Debating the National Defense Act |
Message | No party here is saying that diplomacy and words are a weak hand, rather, this is merely another option incase those ways fail. This bill doesn't promote militarization for it's own sake, rather we want to have a way to ensure that enemies don't cause problems for our country. If we need to use diplomacy, then there is a place for that. |
Date | 20:42:02, May 21, 2022 CET | From | KFA | To | Debating the National Defense Act |
Message | “Your baseless justifications are not enough to justify rearming Kundrati with weapons of mass destruction. In order to be distanced from a war defined by nuclear, or even chemical, weapons, we must avoid obtaining such weapons. This debate has proved unfruitful. The Socialist-Futurist alliance will vote no.” |
Date | 02:56:12, May 22, 2022 CET | From | For Kundrati | To | Debating the National Defense Act |
Message | "Nobody said anything about war defined by nuclear or chemical weapons. In fact, this legislation would not allow our country to even use nuclear weapons - that is separate legislation that is not being repealed. All it would allow us to do is to research and produce nuclear weapons, which would be entirely pointless without separate legislation. Nothing in this legislation has even mentioned chemical and biological weapons either, and they will still be fully banned if this legislation were to pass. If the Socialist-Futurist alliance must resort to blatant misconstruing and a total failure to even understand the legislation they are voting on, I believe that is an issue in itself." |
Date | 05:50:43, May 22, 2022 CET | From | Kundrati Democracy | To | Debating the National Defense Act |
Message | None of our parties have said that this bill is to increase weapons of mass destruction. As For Kundrati has stated this bill would prohibit our use of such weapons, it is a bill that do not hold the consequences that our Futurist colleagues claim - we are saddened by their baseless claims and misconstruction of this bill. |
