| Message | This may be idealistic, some may describe it as utopian, but I would suggest that no-one would deny that the goals promoted by this act are noble, and laudable. I urge all parties to vote in favour of this bill. Let us show the world that we will not be governed by the politics of fear. Where the goal is worthy and laudable we as a nation are prepared to lead. Vanuku, will see beyond the narrowest and basest of self interest to send a message to the world, and in so doing we shall show the world our quality. |

| Message | Yes, very idealistic and laudable but we live in a realistic world equipped with nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. What you are suggesting is to leave us at the mercy of those nations willing to use first strike capability and also to leave us open to blackmail by said nations. This is ludicruous. The only message we will be sending the world is that we are a bunch of fools opened to attack. |
