Details

Submitted by[?]: Almighty Lodamunian Front (ALF)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2233

Description[?]:

To to create more competition in health care provision, and as a result, provide individuals with greater freedom to choose their own health care providers. The bill does recognise that there will be some sections of society who will not be able to pay for private health care, hence the state will still pay for the health care of those on lower incomes.

MessageNo. Competition in healthcare brings extra costs and lower service. More expensive treatments will not be done anymore. Healthcare is not meant to make money, but to help people.

MessageThe cost would be the same. the only difference is that private healthcare is when individuals pay for treatment and public health care is when the government pays for the treatment. Having private healthcare would take away dependence on the government from the people. Public health care is also low quality, so if health care was private, you would have higher quality care. It really isn't about compitition, it's about government responsibilities...
