To to create more competition in health care provision, and as a result, provide individuals with greater freedom to choose their own health care providers. Message | No. Competition in healthcare brings extra costs and lower service. More expensive treatments will not be done anymore. Healthcare is not meant to make money, but to help people. |
Date | 07:42:14, May 25, 2006 CET | From | Black People's Party | To | Debating the Health Bill |
Message | The cost would be the same. the only difference is that private healthcare is when individuals pay for treatment and public health care is when the government pays for the treatment. Having private healthcare would take away dependence on the government from the people. Public health care is also low quality, so if health care was private, you would have higher quality care. It really isn't about compitition, it's about government responsibilities... |
