Bill: Trade Union Strike Rules, 2232
Details
Submitted by[?]: Front Canrillaise
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2233
Description[?]:
We must ensure that trade union strikes that occur represent the true will of its members. Therefore, we propose to have it necessary for the majority of members, regardless of whether they vote or not, to approve any strike action. This is to ensure that a strike decision is not made by the side that is able to get more people to the ballot box. Also, we cannot have economic growth become stifled by irresponsible union leaders greedily seeking to get their way. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
