Message | We will never accept such a backwards-thinking proposal. There can be just as much love between two men or two women as there are between a man and a woman. |
Date | 13:58:41, May 27, 2006 CET | From | Tee Party | To | Debating the Marriage Policy |
Message | In recognizing marriage--- the government recognizes that its future citizens should grow up in a loving environment. Preferably with his/her natural parents. In recognizing this is for the good of its potential citizens(society). The government recognizes the union of man and wife, as a union that CAN reproduce. This recognition secures, and supports the stability of its potential citizens upbringing. Which the government should have a direct interest in. The government gives benefits to this union, because this union is more special, from the governments perspective, than all other unions.(ie. Best Friends, Man and his dog, boyfriend and girlfriend etc)This is the only reason you have for the government recognizing marriage at all. Without adding any religious/emotional context(LOVE) that should be meaningless to the government in the first place. This union is obviously special, and unique. So should be treated as such |

Message | If the Tee Party wishes to put it this way, then, by its very own logic, people with more money should be considered "special" because they "can afford more" and people with more power should be considered "special" because they "can do more". Why not give special recognition to these folks as well or give them all medals while you're at it? Oh, and for future reference, the Tee Party needs to stop speaking on behalf of the government and stop referring to itself as the government. The Tee Party is an opposition party with only four seats. The "government" consists of the Marxist Party, the FBSP, and the PC Party. |

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer. |
