Message | Aldurians, I offer to you a bill that would bring about a far more ordered society than that which we currently know. While it may seem to be a good idea to some to consider those as young as 16 to be adults, the truth of the matter is that at 16, our children are too immature to handle the responsibilities that come with adulthood. Mentally, they are not yet adults. This is a fact that has been proven by Science on more than one occasion. What's more, at such a young age, they should be in school, learning what will get them through life later on. As adults, this is optional for them. And that is unnacceptable in an orderly society. No, in order to ensure that Aldurians are able to responsibly handle the obligations and duties of adulthood, we must raise the age to 20. Two full decades is more than enough, and by that nearly all will be mentally prepared for an independent life and the decisions required by it. |

Message | Maybe a tad to high, We'd prefer 18 or 19 but we still agree that the current age of 16 is too low. |

Message | i prefer 18. 24 an adult is a disgrace. |

Message | Well, this bill would set the age to 20. However, in order to obtain a more expedient passage, we would be willing to lower the age this bill sets from 20 to 18, as a compromise. Would 18 be an acceptable age of legal adulthood? |

Message | yes. But don't worry because i have already proposed 18 in another proposal. |

Message | 18 is good... In which proposal is that? |

Message | Aldurians should be equal under the eyes of the law. It is a farce that an act can be deemed against the law one day and then after a birthday, legal the next. We will not support any raising of the official "adult" age as a result and look forward to the day when new-borns can be tried for indecency.. |

Message | Changed to 18, and moving to a vote. |

Message | We think that if 16-year old are old enough to work and pay taxes, they should have their say in public affairs. |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
