Mr.Speaker, The government propose following amendments to the law.We are now banning torture which the fascists applied not only on criminals of minor crimes but the political detainees too. The weapons police officers can carry should correspond to their specific units they're trained at (if any) like specific anti riot force training, counter terrorism units training etc.However no military grade weapons will be allowed to be carried by police officers. The police can arrest suspects of crime as provided in the law already passed by the diet only if police has arrest warrants or reasonable grounds. Attorney General, Isabelle McNaughton |
