Bill: SPE-41 | EletroTUK Establishment Act, 5198

Details

Submitted by[?]: Saída Pela Esquerda! (SPE)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 5199

Description[?]:

"Dear Members of the Assembleia da República,

Electricity is not only one of the most vital resources that a nation depends on, but it is also an essential service on which each citizen relies to fulfil their daily needs. It is a strategic sector that would be best managed under the State's purview as it is both dangerous and potentially inequitable to leave production and distribution to the private initiative. This bill centralises the production and distribution of all Tukarese power and harmonises the energy market with the already nationalised energy grid. The current private companies operating on this market will be acquired at market rates and duly compensated for their assets. On their place, our government will establish ElectroTUK. This measure will reduce energy costs and prices, ensure that service is universal and reliable, as well as empower our State to be even more sovereign."

Martha Medeiros (SPE)
President of Tukarali

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically
