MessageDecriminalizing incest and legally recognizing incestuous marriages???? Are you insane? And allowing criminals, accused of serious crimes to be released from custody??? Not only are these two articles completely dangerous to society, but they also have no correlation with ‘opening our economy and investment sectors to fight stagnation.’ Furthermore, the ban on political advertisements is unfair and restricts the democratic process as smaller political parties now cannot reach a larger audience.

MessageThe policy of the Government is, and has been,

1) The State does not take an active role in marriage. That matter is one between spouses and either their faith community or their own solemnizers. Married couples do not receive any more or less benefits than those in civil partnerships, so the State has no role in sanctifying or acknowledging marriages.
2) All sexual acts between consenting adults are legal according to the law.

Therefore, the State has no position on incestuous relationships or marriages.

Secondly, we have abolished prisons. The Party of Socialism knows this: We have the bill listed in our RP laws. Therefore, it makes no sense to hold people in jail awaiting trial, if we do not even hold most convicted criminals.

These laws have been in place for centuries. Why are they now suddenly so dangerous for our society?

MessageAs for the advertising, our long standing national policy on advertising has been that it is allowed, but only when it tells the truth. Political advertisement, by nature lies to try to trick people into voting for candidates and policies which they would not otherwise support, and therefore it would be illegal under normal advertising laws.

This bill, including those provisions discussed above simply brings our national laws in line with our long standing National Policies, because as written, they contradicted one another.

The Party of Socialism can read the Prison Abolition act here: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=482022

It has been in place for over 1000 years now, as any Party made up of Kalistani Nationals knows full well.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
