Message | Mr Speaker, All the proposed articles are against the Fundamental rights of an Individual. To deprive someone of their voting rights - that to in a democracy is preposterous. Letting police patrol all places every time and to give them more power to search properties is to transform Malivia into a surveillance state. Legalization of death penalties is nothing but depriving the right to life. It is State's duty to secure the life of every citizen. Picking Jury members of randomly selected person who may not have adequate legal knowledge shall turn the whole judiciary into a mockery. Moreover, enforcing a conscription like scenario in regard to Jury duty agains violate fundamental rights of a citizen. In a democracy, the state cannot deprive It's citizens the right to choice. If this bill get approved, it would turn Maliviya into a dictatorship and would destroy the very fabric of democracy. We strongly oppose and vote against the bill. |
