CONSTITUTION OF THE TUKARESE REPUBLIC
SECTION 1
The Tukarese Republic

Article 1
Tukarali is a sovereign and democratic nation. Sovereignty belongs to the people of Tukarali, who elect their representatives directly to govern the country.

Article 2
Tukarali is a federal parliamentary republic divided into 5 districts and the Tukarese Capital Region (Rio de Abril). All districts in the nation have the autonomy to decide their own laws, along with the Regional Legislative Assembly, which has the power to pass these laws.

Article 3
The Tukarali flag is made up of the colors blue and yellow, and the country's emblem. The Tukarali flag, along with the coat of arms, are the country's national symbols.

Article 4
Tukarali's national anthem is "the Anthem of Independence", adopted in May 5096.

Article 5
The official language of Tukarali is Tukarese, however several other languages ​​that are also spoken by the population are recognized by the government, including regional and native languages.

Article 6
The federal government of Tukarali is divided into 3 branches, which are independent and harmonious with each other: the Executive branch, the Legislative branch and the Judiciary.
I - The Executive branch is responsible for governing Tukarali. It is led by the Prime Minister, who leads the country's cabinet;
II - The Legislative branch is responsible for approving and creating laws in the country. The current legislative body of Tukarali, on the date of publication of this constitution, is the Assembly of the Republic, which is led by the President of the Assembly, who is elected by its Members (informally referred to as deputies or MPs);
III - The Judiciary is composed of a Supreme Court and other courts of the country. The Supreme Court is led by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, who generally serve 2 to 3 years.

SECTION 2
The President of Tukarali

Article 7
The President of Tukarali is the nation's head of state. He represents the country.

Article 8
Most presidents have ceremonial roles, but presidents also have powers and duties, which are:
I - Dissolve the Assembly of the Republic;
II - Convene the Assembly of the Republic;
III - Appoint the Prime Minister with the designation of the Assembly of the Republic;
IV - Guarantee the independence of Tukarali;
V - Guarantee the constitution of Tukarali;
VI - Appoint the judges of the Supreme Court;
VII - Attribution of positions and honors (Example: Order of Military Merit of Tukarali);
VIII - Exercise their ceremonial functions.

Article 9
The President can be removed by the Assembly of the Republic through an impeachment process. Impeachment proceedings can be carried out in the case of:
I - Breaking laws;
II - Committing crimes of corruption;
III - Diversion and money laundering;
IV - Political crimes.

Article 10
The President is democratically elected by the citizens of Tukarali every 4 years, and can serve only 2 terms. If the President serves more than 2 terms, the Assembly of the Republic can also initiate an impeachment process.

Article 11
The President is responsible for receiving heads of state and ministers from other countries.

Article 12
The second person in the line of succession to the President is the President of the Assembly of the Republic, and the third person is the Prime Minister.

Article 13
The President of Tukarali has the power to dissolve or convene Parliament in the event of the Prime Minister's resignation. After dissolving parliament, new general elections are usually called.

The Assembly of the Republic

Article 14
The Assembly of the Republic (informally referred to as parliament) is the legislative body of the Tukarese Republic. The Assembly of the Republic represents the population of the country and the 5 districts of Tukarali.

Article 15
The Assembly of the Republic is unicameral. The members of the Assembly of the Republic are directly elected by the population every 4 years, regardless of whether the election is an early election or a regular election.

Article 16
The Assembly of the Republic, in addition to being the country's legislative body, has powers and duties like other offices. These powers and duties are:
I - Propose bills;
II - Approve bills;
III - Approve treaties;

Article 20

The Supreme Court is the highest court in the Judiciary. It is made up of 11 judges and magistrates, who serve approximately 10 years on the Supreme Court.

Article 28
The Supreme Court is headed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, who is chosen by the members of the Supreme Court and serves 2 years, with the right to only one consecutive term.

Article 29
The districts also have a Judiciary, composed mainly of the regional courts and tribunals.

Article 30
An independent board selects and appoints the members of the Supreme Court, but does not interfere with the actions of the Supreme Court.

SECTION 6
Final considerations

A. Tukarali is an egalitarian nation, where all citizens have equal rights, regardless of sex, race or religion.

B. This constitution can be approved and can also be amended by the Assembly of the Republic.
