MessageI disagree. These kind of media dont have to be for propaganda. They are the only way for some minorities to have a voice. And this is only one of the usefull purposes i can remind for this type of media

MessageYou are correct that these types of media don't *have* to be for propaganda. Nonetheless, they *will* be for propaganda. Those who have power will use it.

I disagree that they are the only way for some minorities to have a voice. Both television and radio have been rendered artificially expensive by governments through licensing etc, they can really be fairly cheap, which is how college and pirate radio stations have been able to operate.

Moreover, the nominal expenditure of publishing on the Internet in this modern age makes the claim that minorities have no other voice even less true.

Finally, do not assume that just because you think minorities *should* have a voice on State radio, that they *will* have a voice. Can you really be certain that minorities who hold views that are inimical to those in control of the media will be permitted to use the resources of the controllers to share those views?
