Message | The SD would support this bill.other than surveillance and the prevention of their meddling in our affairs, what right do we have to covertly meddle in the affairs of others. |

Message | Ill ask the Social Devolutionists the same question but on the flip side... What right does a country have to do it too us? If there doing it to us, then why shouldnt we have the right to do it in return? And to those he believe leadership by example.. thats fine.. we will let you call the families of victims of attrocities we may have been able to prevent if we allowed our intelligence agency to work properly. |

Message | The DR thinks that foreign country laws are for foreign countrys if they are happy with those. Their practices of intelligence agency must not have any impact on our one policies. We are building our nation, and whatever the others do we'll do it. |

Message | Is the LDP truly advocating that two wrongs make a right? that the fact that other nations are bad citizens of the world somehow makes us good citizens by getting down in the gutter with them. The proposal allows for counter intelligence (ie stopping covert action agains us) and surveillance (finding out what other countries are up to). It provides us all the protection we need. All it prevents is us meddling (and wasting money meddling) in the affairs of others. The LDP cheapens the argument by trying to turn it from a moral argument into an emotional one, but I will answer anyway. I will gladly tell the families of the dead if our best surveillance and effective counter intelligence could not save them, and I will tell them I will fight for better resources to counter intelligence and surveillance. Shall I tell them at the same time that our counter intelligence resources were limited by money wasted trying to overthrow the duly elected government of Alduria, or support the rebel factions in Karzon, or whatever other innapropriate whim the government of the day felt would make them feel like real men? |

Message | As always we see the Scoial Devolutionists go to the extreme position to make a point, yet we will respond anyway. 99% of the work the intelligence agency does is survelliance with very little action taking place, action that can only be sanctioned by the leader of the country. The LDP also think that the statement in relation to "overthrow the duly elected government of Alduria, or support the rebel factions in Karzon," may well be in our interests if the duly elected government of Alduria are a terrorist based organization like Hamas in Palestine who public berate and threaten to destroy another nation. There threats could well turn onto us and a little action to prevent that is money well spent dont you think? |

Message | I don't think for a minute i have gone to an extreme position in debating this bill. I certainly don't think i "always" go the extreme position in debating a bill, though if I am wrong I stand to be corrected. I can only assume that the LDP has so little understanding of wit, rhetoric and rational argument, that they see these things as Extreme. Don't worry Mr President, they are skills that can be learned. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
