| The following represents the conclusion to the Third Solentian Civil War through a new Treaty of Oda that commits the former warring parties to a permanent alliance. It builds upon the agreed proposals for ending the conflict established in 5258 and confirmed by the elections in March 5259 (see here http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=684622). ===== Constitutional Change Following the death of Emir Wakeem Khan, it is widely agreed that the position of the Emir shall be retired. Solentia shall revert to a republican system of governance, with a decentralised confederal structure pursued to allow decision making at the lowest possible level. ===== Name change Recognizing the move to a new republican constitution the nation shall be renamed to the following with a two-thirds majority; "Jumhūrī-yi Ahmādī-yi Sahel/Ahmadi Republic of Solentia (Solentia) ===== New Flag A new republcian flag shall be introduced to replace that of the Emirate. ===== Armed Forces The Solentian National Defence Forces and the Jaish-e Ahmad shall be united into a reformed military organisation that will include elements of both. ===== Foreign Policy Solentia shall restore diplomatic ties that it was previously a member of. A new body shall be set up to ratify engagement with international sporting bodies. ===== Local government and social policy Previously widely accepted local government practices shall be reaffirmed. This includes the use of Ahmadi and Solentiwali practices (see here http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=684408). This also includes laws that cover Abadi tribes (see here http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=675331). The new government shall commit to laws that respect the traditions of the Solentia people. ===== National religion Ahmadism is at the heart of Solentian identity, however the nations minorities shall be well respected. A new law shall be introduced to legally bind this. |
