Bill: PCP Minority Government

Details

Submitted by[?]: Progressive Conservative Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 5268

Description[?]:

M Speaker,

The PCP has won a large if somewhat slightly inaufficient mandate. Given that other parties are likely unwilling to enter into a coalition with us, we propose forming a minority government which will seek cooperation with other parties on a case by case basis. Our government would be one of a moderate persuasion with a bent towards economical reform in favour of individuals and local communities.

Brian Gore
PCP Leader

MessageWe think a P-C minority government is the optimal path forward after this election, and will vote for it. We believe we will be able to work together on some issues while holding strong to our principles.

MessageWhile we have abstained on this motion of confidence in the Gore Government, we will be happy to lead the opposition and consistently provide this government with constructive criticism on issues pertaining to Mordusia, and we will seek consensus on Medicare, social spending, immigration, and constitutional reform

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
