MessageNorbert Schmidt, Party President of the FVP:

Firstly, with regards to the Article on polygamy, we fully agree with the proposed government policy of not recognizing polygamous relationships. This aligns with our social conservative values and our belief in the sanctity of marriage and family. Polygamous relationships undermine these values and can have detrimental effects on the society as a whole.

However, we strongly disagree with the proposed changes to the national refugee policy. While we believe that it is important to provide aid and support to those who are in extreme circumstances and in need of refuge, we cannot support an open-door policy for all refugees, regardless of their reasons. This could lead to an influx of economic migrants who do not necessarily require protection, which would put a strain on our resources and potentially harm our economy. Therefore, we propose that the current policy remains in place, providing aid and support to those who are genuine refugees.

On The Article on trade union strike ballots, we firmly believe that trade unions should be required by law to hold a ballot of all members before going on strike. This ensures that the decision to strike is democratically made and represents the will of the majority of members. Removing this requirement could lead to a minority of members dictating the actions of the union, potentially harming the interests of the majority. Therefore, we propose that the current policy remains in place, requiring a ballot of all members before a strike can take place.

Thank you.

Random quote: First and second class seats on public transport shall be BANNED! We are all FIRST CLASS people, regardless of whether we are rich or poor and can afford or not afford to pay for a more expensive seat. From now on, all seats on trains, buses, trams, planes and so on shall be the SAME. We will all travel in the SAME way, TOGETHER. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
