| Message | The Opposition, whilst in Government, took the decision to devolve sport clubs to local governments but we do agree that this was too far and too fast. However, this does not negate the point that, often, local governments implement effective national sports clubs that help to improve the general health of our people and offer practical advice that can be dispensed. We also want to see some form of continuation in local governments taking actions to improve regional health and continuing to encourage positive lifestyle choices that will not only reduce the burden on our national health service now but provide a new and better standard of health in Qufreique. Whilst we agree that some powers should never be devolved to local governments, we believe government owned and run sports clubs should continue to involve a local role for local people, local places and to ensure a happier and brighter Lourenne. |
