MessageWe believe in making Baltusia a safe space for all of our citizens, including those who are LGBTQ+.

You mentioned that we were wasting money on something that not every benefits from, and while it is entirely true that funding for protections for LGBTQ+ people within our country does not benefit every one, it's also true that many other things that we choose to invest money into will also not benefit every, including investing into benefits for low-income individuals, since not everyone benefits from that investment into benefits and programs for low-income individuals either. However, we are by absolutely no means against the investment into programs and benefits valuable to low-income individuals, and we are actually highly in support of that, we believe that it's also important to protect the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals as well.

We also consider Baltusia's signatory status in this treaty as a statement to the broader world at large of our support and protection of LGBTQ+ rights.

It is with this in consideration that we vote against this bill.

- Oliver Sheridan,
Leader of the New Green Party
