Message | The government is being hypocritical by introducing this measure, yet refusing to vote in favour of the BGC's bill -- which does the exact same thing. They said that "we must not allow the country to become indebted, we must maintain a balanced budget," only to introduce the same bill. Shameful! |

Message | Mr Speaker, The LNP is also confused at the government’s approach, having agreed with us that the current economic climate does not support this, the government also rejected the Greens proposal only to submit their own the exact same, does the government have direction or are they just trying to claim other parties policies. |
Date | 19:51:32, October 07, 2023 CET | From | Labor Party | To | Debating the Funding of public transport |
Message | The government presented a milder option that would not burden the budget so much. The bill introduces a subsidy for people in the worst economic situation (please read, it makes a difference). We also draw attention to the discussion of the government's Funding of public transport bill 5373, which has been withdrawn and it has been said that a milder version will be presented, so the government is keeping its promises. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
