Description[?]:
We advocate for meaningful change in our beloved Dovrige, a nation that has languished under the stagnant reign of the right-wing monopoly for far too long. Our society, once a bastion of unity and equity, now simmers in a cesspool of selfishness and willful ignorance perpetuated by those in power. The Left Alternative rises as the rational, empathetic, and resolute voice of the Dovrige people. Our manifesto, 'The Programme for A Fair and Humane Society,' is not just a blueprint but a clarion call for a transformative societal overhaul." Our vision is clear and unyielding. We pledge to reduce the oppressive burden of a 15% sales tax to a mere 4%, lightening the load on the shoulders of hardworking citizens. Moreover, we staunchly commit to ensuring that the minimum wage aligns with a living wage, recalculated annually through a rigorous formula. We vow to tackle the unchecked excesses of the stock exchange through prudent regulation while championing the independence of trade unions, freeing them from suffocating government control. Simultaneously, we stand as stewards of our precious forests, safeguarding them by mandating logging licenses and stringent protections. The Left Alternative doesn't just promise change; we promise a fairer, more humane Dovrige where every citizen's well-being is not just an afterthought but a priority. Let's empower change for all! |

Message | [SPECIAL MESSAGE RELEASE | SMR] The National Gathering finds the inclusion of all different parties in the political process very important to the success of the Davostagian state and for the need to hear every single Davostager's voice. The newly established Left Alternative (VA) is a good example of a healthy and prosperous democracy, reminiscent of the former Green Socialist Party a few decades ago. As the de facto dominant party in Davostag, it is our job to see to what the political scene in all corners has the offer and propose and to evaluate those offers and propositions to better accommodate the needs of the Davostagers and develop the Davostagian state. On 'The Programme for A Fair and Humane Society' released by the VA, the National Gathering (NS), after an evaluation by the NS Committee on Extra-Parliamentary Affairs (CEPA), have this to say: "On articles 1 and 3 the National Gathering shall oppose; we believe that on the former the people can be included and better represented within a corporatist (OOC: state corporatism, not to be confused with business corporations in a so-called 'corporatocracy') society which can only be achieved by the working man in voluntary membership in government trade-unions; on the latter we believe in socialist virtue and therefore seek for the working Davostager, man and woman, to given proper support not only for his/her individual but also to his/her family, with the maximum of four people, thus we seek the preservation of the current legislation. On articles 2, 4 and 5, the National Gathering supports action in such direction proposed by the Left Alternative, but will due to the articles 1 and 3 not voice any real support to the whole programme." Johanna Filipsdotter Secretary of the Committee for Extra-Parliamentary Affairs of the National Gathering |
