Message | The New Right expresses its opposition to this bill. We believe that this bill disenfranchises local governments from deciding on housing policies concerning their region. We also express our disagreement with this proposal because rent caps while they sound good on paper, are not effective and we believe that they discourage investment in housing and removes the ability of the market to accurately reflect prices, thereby creating an artificial shortage of housing units. We therefore believe in allowing tenants and landlords to negotiate and create individual contracts. Shifra Menahem, Leader, New Right |
