Bill: Returning the Fruits of Labor to the Laborers Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Radical-Revolutionary Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2248
Description[?]:
We only tax 3 out of every 10 dollars corporations make in proffit, as it stands now. In order to ensure that the WORKERS of Alduria receive an equitable treatment in society, it is essential that we end this injustice immediately. Additionally, there is no tax on the sale of luxury items. Seeing as how the EXPLOITERS are the ones most likely to purchase such products, a change in policy is also called for in this area. |

Message | Need we mention the enormous budget shortfall we theoretically face? (When the budget is fully implemented, of course.) Such policies as this not only help the WORKERS of Alduria, they help to provide the funds needed to protect the Aldurian people from international threats, and to provide essential services. |

Message | We will vote for this though we feel that the second proposal sets the tax rate too high |

Message | On the first one, it is a useless proposal. All companies are state owned, and its finances immediately go to the budget. Taxes are not applied to state entities, thats just common sense. The second proposal does set it too high. The workers of Alduria deserve cheap luxury goods. Unlike in a capitalist government, however, we gain all profits from the sale of such items directly. Taxes would only enrich the state at the expense of workers. |

Message | We find ourselves agreeing with our learned friends. The luxury tax rate does seem extremely oppressive. |
