From | Imperial Conservative Party | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | Does a capital have to be in one of the electoral provinces, or can we also make a new division of the county like the District of Columbia? |

From | Abandoned NFC Headquarters | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | No Karl Marx City. While a good man, it's just a lame name for a city. Are you all against the old USSR capital? Think objectively here, not just that it's the capital of the USSR. It SHOULD be okay with your ideologies. |

From | Imperial Conservative Party | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | Motion 2: Russian to be the new official language.
Why not Marxburg or Marxstadt if you want to respect (German speaking) Marx as opposed to Lenin, Stalin et al? |

From | Imperial Conservative Party | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | I'd go for something imperial myself, like:
Rome
Constantinople
Persepolis
Peking
London
or of course Washington!
But no self respecting red would ever go for that. So I'll wait until public opinion places a conservative administration into power instead. We will overcome, oh brothers of the faulty revolution! |

From | Democratic Socialists of Endralon | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | Although MarxGrad or MarxStadt would both be reasonable the rest of the game is in English and I also wouldn't know whether to choose between Russian or German. |

From | Democratic Socialists of Endralon | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | If "MarxStadt" has support from most parties I will submit it. It could also however be spelt with a space or dash between it if people feel this would be better or it could be extended to "Karl Marx Stadt". |

From | Democratic Socialists of Endralon | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | We would like to advise the parties voting against this bill that if we want any capital city at all then every socialist party will have to agree on one name and support it as each bill needs a two thirds majority to pass. If we wait until after the election we will probably not have the opportunity to do so. |

From | Communist Party of Endralon | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | This bill will pass anyway, so it's safe for me to vote no. I'm voting no as a protest against the idea of naming our capital city after an individual. Remember what Lenin said about the hero cult, comrades! |
Date | 22:40:16, June 23, 2005 CET |
From | International Socialist Party | To | Debating the Capital City | Message | Thers nothing wrong with heroes of the People CPE as long the Party does not turn it into the Dictatorship as upossed to the Dictatorship of the Proletariat |

Random fact: Moderation will not approve a Cultural Protocol request within the first 48 hours of it being requested. This is in order to give other players a chance to query the proposed changes, if they wish to do so. Moderation may be approached for advice on a proposed change, but any advice proffered should always be understood under the provisio that no final decision will be made until at least 48 hours after the request has been formally submitted for approval. |
