Bill: PN 06/5425: Military action
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 5426
Description[?]:
Members of Parliament, Even our close allies can be wrong at times. It does not make any sense to sell arms only to close allies. From Worthy Homeland, we believe that the previous legislation was much more effective and useful, since it allowed our accredited bodies to search and take into account each single case before selling arms to anybody, rather than attacking to our very own neutrality by just choosing our allies. In reference to Article 2, we believe a strong nation needs to send strong messages. Who can fight back if there is no one left standing? In warfare, one must be ready for everything, except attacking civilians. That is why we believe that our nation must be ready to achieve victory by any means, should the time comes to do so. Iason Simatos Leader of the Opposition |

Message | Article 1 agrees with our beliefs. After all, we had filed a relevant law proposal a few months ago about this. Regarding the 2nd article, we do not share the reasoning behind the change. Of course we should be a strong state, but always with respect for human rights and faith in peace. We regret the fact that the leftist parties are in favor of nuclear weapons. Therefore, we vote against. |

Message | Mrs. Sarellakou, This bill is not in favor of nuclear weapons, but positioning ourselves in case that the worst happens. We can further regulate when is it acceptable the use of this kind of weapons, but we cannot be foolish and believe that the rest of Terran nations want to live in peace and harmony and that they are not already in posession of this kind of weapons. In fact, the following nations even "reserve the right to use nuclear weapons in warfare for any reason": Endralon, Luthori, Hobrazia, Malivia, Telamon, Valruzia, Kizenia, Selucia, Jelbe, Vanuku, Pontesi, Mikuni-Hulstria, Kazulia and Vorona. Davostag and Hutori "reserve the right to use nuclear weapons if victory is not feasibile by other means" and Dorvik, Kirlawa, Ikradon, Likatonia, Rildanor, Jakania, Dankuk and Sekowo "use nuclear weapons in warfare if another nation uses them first" Iason Simatos Leader of the Opposition |
