An Act to create a consistent policy on several issues across the Kingdom; and for purposes connected therewith. [3rd September 5471] 1. The Sale of Alcoholic Beverages (1) His Royal Majesty’s Government shall have sole power to regulate the terms of the sale of alcoholic beverages. (2) Only those persons of the age of majority may be permitted to purchase beverages containing >1% alcohol by volume. (3) Beverages containing >1% alcohol by volume may only be sold by sales outlets with a licence in His Royal Majesty’s name for the sale of alcoholic beverages. 2. The Funding and Regulation of Charter Schools (1) His Royal Majesty’s Government shall have sole power to regulate the affairs of charter schools. (2) Only those organisations registered with His Royal Majesty’s Government as not-for-profit may be permitted to establish charter schools. 3. The Provision of Civil Defence His Royal Majesty’s Government is obliged to construct and maintain a system of shelters for use by civilians during times of war or extreme natural disaster. 4. The Regulation of Unions and Employment (1) Employers are permitted to require membership of a certain registered union as a term of employment. (2) Employers are permitted to require employees to acquire membership of a certain registered trade union after a period of time as a term of employment. (3) Employers are permitted to require employees without membership of a certain registered trade union to pay fees to the aforementioned trade union as a term of employment. 5. Administration of Law All courts must follow the system of courts as established by the Ministry of Justice. 6. National Grid (1) A National Electrical Power Grid Company (NEPGC) shall be created under the ownership of the Ministry for Business, Trade and Industrial Strategy to administer, maintain and develop the National Grid. (2) All local and regional power grids shall be merged into a National Grid, under the ownership of the NEPGC. 7. Medicinal and Recreational Use of Cannabis (1) Doctors may be permitted to prescribe cannabis for use as pain relief. (2) The possession and growth of cannabis for personal use is to be permitted. (3) Only those persons of the age of majority may be permitted to purchase products containing cannabis. (4) Products containing cannabis may only be sold by sales outlets with a licence in His Royal Majesty’s name for the sale of cannabis products. 8. Pharmaceutical Advertising The advertisement of pharmaceutical products is to be treated in the same manner as any other product. 9. Government Funding for Private Schools (1) Only legally recognised charter schools may receive government funding. (2) Funding for charter schools is provided at the discretion of the Department for Education and Culture. 10. Subsidisation of Public Transport The Department of Transport and Infrastructure shall provide to the relevant organisation funding equal to the total value of the number of tickets purchased for all forms of public transport. 11. State Recycling Programmes (1) The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs shall provide funding for the creation and upkeep of recycling plants and programmes. (2) All persons, commercial entities and industrial plants are legally mandated to recycle as many materials as judged possible by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. 12. Rent Regulation (1) Rents must be negotiated between landlords and tenants. (2) Both landlords and tenants are permitted to form organisations for the purposes of collectively negotiating rents. 13. Pupil Selection Schools are permitted to decide their own policy pertaining to pupil selection. 14. Short Name This Act may be cited as the Standardisation of Laws Act 5471 |
