Description[?]:
We fight against religious consciousness, whatever it may be, because we understand that a secular State can reverse the inverted consciousness of the world and show that men are the subjects of their own reality, who build their own world. The bourgeoisie is based on the ideology that workers do not own their own lives, their power is based on the alienation of labor and the removal of any power from workers over their own work and lives. And religion, as a form of instrument of social control, takes advantage of spirituality to dictate the way in which Dundorfians determine themselves as such in life and sociability – which is absurd. We are not against spirituality (we consider it to be beneficial), however, we are totally against religion as an institution - and supported and encouraged by the State. Message | Dear colleagues, a bill of such an extent should not be allowed to pass. This bill aims to ban any religion and is therefore against the modern democratic principles of the separation of the state and church. Religion should be a private matter. Everyone should be able to choose it by him or herself. It is a valid point that religion played a significant part in supporting monarchies and feudal laws but that is over 5 millennias ago. Furthermore we heavily criticize our fellow colleagues from the VA for heavily generalizing religion. Religion is more (nowadays) than just a tool for a non existent elite. Religion is in connection with charity, with social engagement. This lack of differentiation is dangerous in our opinion. It tricks the voters into believing that A) there is an elite suppressing everyone via religion and B) that all religions are the same and C) are all just a mean to suppress the public. All these three things are able to be disproved and are therefore simply false. In one thing we have to agree with the approach. It is indeed important to regulate religion to ensure no abusive religions harming individuals. This should however be done in a reasonable way and shouldn’t hinder those praying to religions advocating tolerance, mutual respect and social engagement. Thank you. |
