Bill: Public Decency (Values) Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Patriotic Front

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2251

Description[?]:

The Front has introduced this bill because we believe the moral decay in Aloria must be combatted. Alorians are a proud people, that hold their values dear, and our laws should reflect that. To that end:

Article 1; because we believe no Alorian should be exposed to disgusting displays of moral emptiness.

Article 2; because marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman - as evidenced by their natural ability to procreate.

Article 3; because no-one should be forced to look at indecent displays of nudity.

Article 4; because no-one should be confronted with public displays of indecent sexual acts.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.

Random quote: “Their cheap talk of the 'greater good' is a thinly concealed excuse for subordinating the people to the institutionalized violence that is the state.” - Margaret Woodhall, former Dranian politician
