MessageCutting defense so much will actually hurt our economy, by increasing unemployment and removing the economic stabilization military bases provide. Slow cuts are the best option. You're putting 9/10 soldiers out of work, essentially.

Also, what exactly is the HoG budget for? It needs to be cut even further if that is merely his expenses and salary.......

Foreign Affairs should be cut heavily, and put on ad-hoc funding as law intends (down to zero, with an increase if we get a request for aid because of a disaster. We have no embassies or diplomatic personnel)

MessageWhile it is truly terrible that we must resort to gutting the nation's armed forces, it is necessary if we are to have any economic stability.

MessageHoS down to 10Million? One assumes the HoS income is what pays for the running of Parliament, on this one we have to agree with the BB's, no cuts on our wages, cut the education budget instead.

MessageThen tell us, FNP, how we should solve the problem of the enormous hole in our finances? Perhaps we should pray, and then God will send us the extra 200 million ALD.

MessageSorry, but this would gut both our defeses and our economy.

Defense spending props up quite a few economies all over Alduria, and keeps many people employed and off the streets. It also provides many of our young men with basic electronic, organizational and mechanical skills. Discharging 9 out of 10 soldiers in madness, as is cutting down 90% of our military installations.

The HoS budget should be severely cut down. We, as representatives, do not need anything above our bare expenses. We have a public pension system, which the older of us have invested in our entire working lives. The Romantic Party would support a culling of bureaucratic wages.

We have no foreign personnel, nor do we have any current aid packages. The foreign affairs budget should be at 0 ALD.
