Message | If 5% is too high then by all means propose a lower number. The important thing is that they are both equal, if not for fairness then just for practicality. It’s ludicrous to even attempt to classify every single product as being either essential or luxury. And as the KCP quite rightly stated, taxation is proportional. People will still pay more in tax for more expensive goods. |
