Bill: Clones

Details

Submitted by[?]: Aldegarian Populist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2252

Description[?]:

We must take extra precautions to ensure that we don't fall down the wrong road in cloning. With the advancement in cloning animals and embryos it is only a matter of time before we begin cloning humans. The civil rights infringment that could come along with this is outrageous to imagine.

MessageThis law would just ban all cloning research, most of which isn't aimed at cloning entire humans. This technology.

This technology helps us to move forward medically and scientifically.

MessageThe wording of this proposal is rather confusing. The law does, appear, to deal with cloning research as a whole, but the proposal itself was to ban human cloning. Oh well... hopefully in the sequel the wording will be different. For the record, our party doesn't disagree with banning all cloning technologies - only full human cloning.
