Message | Even if we ignore the humanitarian and civil rights argument, it is significantly cheaper to simply send POWs home than to waste resources, both military and financial, on keeping POWs. Why bother even changing the law when Baltusia hasn't had a war with another state in...ever...? |

Message | Anyway, how much better treated can you be by being sent home? |

Message | If we are to remain at peace, then the change is not nescesary. However, I fear we may soon be at war because of Likatonia's new militarist and expansionist stance. |

Message | Besides, if we keep POW's and they don't, then we get hurt because of the loss of manpower and they don't. Like any person of sense I detest war, but sometimes it may be nescesary and I would sooner have us prepared. |

Message | "However, I fear we may soon be at war because of Likatonia's new militarist and expansionist stance." Bah. Militarism comes and goes like the seasons. "Besides, if we keep POW's and they don't, then we get hurt because of the loss of manpower and they don't." How much guarding does a ship of soldiers being sent home need? How much guarding do 50 000 POWs need? Do the math. |
