Details
Submitted by[?]: Gnazenal Phr'unt
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2257
Description[?]:
The police and the victims of crime must wonder what the point of sending criminals to prison is, when criminals are allowed to earn an income for their crimes. We propose removing the opportunity to earn an income inside prison, and favour the introduction of hard labour as a more effective system of using convict labour. |

Message | Erm, but earning money is what, socialist? Earning an income cannot possibly aid rehabilitation when in jail, if anything it seems to reward criminals who may not have been able to get a job outside of prison. |

Message | Earning an income does not create circumstances that encourage rehabilitation. It encourages circumstances in which some criminals earn more inside prison han they would outside of prison. |

Random quote: "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." - Thomas Jefferson |
