Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2257
Description[?]:
To promote peaceful relationships between all our people, regardless of spiritual leaning. We propose the following: The Adoption of a State Religion; Voluntary membership, no favourable treatment. It is important, that the state is seen to endorse a moral and spiritual lifestyle, but not to enforce it. Freedom of income for all religions, once granted offical Religion status (to avoid fraud and abuse) A seperation of State and Religion in public office. Religious beliefs, even the State religion, should not colour our legislative structure. Freedom of Education: Allowing schools to adopt the religious alignment most appropriate to their location and demographic, or to avoid religion entirely. |

Message | We wholeheartedly agree that the government should play no part in a religion, and vice versa, however we do feel that this is not irrecocilable with a state religion. We welcome the support and advice of the AM RLP in this often difficult area. Victoria Manion |

Message | The AAP must oppose. The term a'recognised religion' is a dangerous one... and not one we can tolerate attached to governmental policy. In combination with the idea of a 'voluntary' state religion, we find this combination just too dangerous to support. |
