Bill: Public Libraries Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Gnazenal Phr'unt

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2258

Description[?]:

We suggest that public libraries, currently controlled by national government, are handed over to local government authorities. This brings the running and control of these libraries closer to the people who use them, and also aids in the reduction of a centralized state.

MessageThe people are better placed to sort out their own affairs, taking the control over the matter in question down a level brings decision making closer to the people who use such services. Keeping it in the hands of central bureaucrats is inefficient and benefits no-one.

MessageYou'd imagine a party that is supposedly for the people would actually try and give the people a little power every now and then.
