Bill: Equal Care Act

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2257
Description[?]:
Similar to our beliefs on education, we do not believe that good economic fortune should entitle a person to better healthcare provided in the private sector, or in this case, exclude them from full care by the commonwealth when they face serious diseases. The poor are not the only people who face crippling drug prices. The Telamonite middle class is being crushed by the extreme rates charged for pharmaceutical drugs. The government ought to fully subsidize the prices for all classes, as we believe that a cooperative commonwealth should try and lift the burden from as many people as possible. Similarly, the cooperative commonwealth ought to ensure that no one can purchase better care because they are wealthy. Everyone ought to recieve excellent care in public facilities. We therefore seek to ban all private health clinics. |

Message | We're opposed to Article 1, and moderately in favor of Article 2 - although are concerned that it would lead to overpricing. We must reject. |

Message | I am in concurrence with the rt hon. gentleman. Private health care is better than its public bretheren. Whilst article 2 is tempting, I think we already subsidise the health service quite enough. |
