Message | Currently: All government employees have to promise political independence. we have hundreds of thousands of government employees, everyone from farmers to prison officers. who are the goverment employees who must be politically independent, and in what way? the FRP that institution such as the police force, fire department, prison officers and farmers are not strictly made to be independent, because they have their own guidelines of correct procedure for situations. higher up government orgs such as ministry civil servants and such should be politically independent. i.e. they do what the head of the ministry says, whoever it may be. the idea behind independence is not that they don't vote etc. but that they declare political tendencies that people might consider conflicts of interest, such as being affiliated with the FRP but working for the ministry of economics under a more left wing minister. is that enough? should there be more? we open this up to debate. |

Message | As far as we know, it means that they must pledge Political Independance while on the job. After hours, they can do whatever they want. |
