Bill: Xavier Media Quality Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Catholic Workers Union
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2264
Description[?]:
Our nation's media has become an escape for some of the worst programming and least educational television in all of Terra. This is an embarassment. Media conglomeration also threatens the individuality and freedom of our televised journalism. Because the airwaves are internationally regarded as property of the whole public, we see nothing wrong with turning them over to nonprofit organizations to be run better. This does not permit government control, and thus keeps our media independent. |

Message | Why? The public owns the airwaves, why not make sure they're all independent? After all, media conglomeration is a real threat to the free flow of information. |
