MessageWe believe that the budget for the government is inadequate, and there are various ways we could raise extra money.

1) Increase Corporation Tax.
2) Increase Sales Tax
3) Increase Income Tax:
a) A new higher band with a threshold of 500,000KDI
b) offset this by increasing the thresholds for lower bands

We would like to open debate about priority spending areas, and how to pay for them.

MessageAre you crazy? we currently have a booming economy, unemployment is down, we have a nice little surplus and you want to raise he corporate, sales, and income tax. We do not need to raise extra money I'm against any bill that will raise any tax (especially when our economy is in great shape). We can debate changing the tax brackets but their is no way I will support any raise in taxes.

MessageThe reason that this is a Debate, is so that we can determine whether to proceed on all three bases, just one, or perhaps two. We are sorry that the KDP can't entertain any of these proposals.

MessageWell if this is a debate, then the KCP would like very much to see a much, much higher corporate tax rate and perhaps the introduction of a 100% tax bracket for the top 10% of income earners.

Message(actually, that wouldn't work in-game...the idea would be that all income above a certain threshhold is taxed 100%...it's the idea of a "maximum income")

MessageYou really are communists aren't you?

Well, what would you compromise on? a 50% higher rate? a 15% corporation tax?

MessageActually I'm only one communist, but yes, the KCP is a real, honest-to-goodness, hardcore communist party.

We could support a 15% corporate tax and a 50% highest tax bracket. For now.

MessageIt's too much hard work to change the Income Tax part. But we will put this Bill to the vote, having removed the Sales Tax clause and increased the Corporation Tax amount to 15%

Messagethis is completely unnecessary we have a strong economic growth we have a nice surplus unemployment is down and yet we are raising taxes

well I hope this one fails we have no reason to raise taxes we can discuss changing the tax bracket but there is no way I could support a tax raise
