Message | This is ridiculous. This is the ultimate deterrent towards rape and murder. If you vote yes to the abolition of the death penalty you are voting to give mercy to murderers, serial killers and rapists! |

Message | The death penalty is no deterrent; nor is life imprisonment a mercy. |
Date | not recorded | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Abolition of Death Penalty |
Message | There is no empirical evidence that the death penalty acts as an effective deterrent. If you have it please present it. This vote is about rejecting barbarism. |

Message | The Leviathan Party supports this bill in the most vehement terms. Even if the death penalty served as a deterrant, which it does not, our criminal justice system is not so perfect that we can ensure an innocent person will not be put to death. We must always err on the side of caution when it comes to criminal justice, and even more so when it comes to a person's life. |

Message | I agree with the Levithan Party. No system is perfect, and as such, we shall not risk innocent lives in the name of, not justice, but vengeance. |
Date | not recorded | From | United Socialist Party | To | Debating the Abolition of Death Penalty |
Message | We wholeheartedly agree with the Leviathan and the Revolutionary Labour Party in this issue and will vote for the proposal. |

Message | I created this bill when I didn't really understand how the game worked. I shall create another bill that actually will abolish the death penalty (assuming enough people vote for it). |

Message | Did anyone notice that the authors of this bill forgot to add proposals? I have resubmitted a bill that would ban the death penalty and actually take effect; please proceed there and vote. |

Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
