Bill: Number of seats
Details
Submitted by[?]: Solentian's Socialist Party(SSP)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2267
Description[?]:
With a higher number of seats,we would be able to have a true representations of the parties. As you can read in the Solentian Republic Daily, both the HS and the TN have 30 seats, but there is a real gap between the vote porcentage : 32% for the HS,and only 28% for the TN. Those parties should not have the same number of seats. As we want the people to be truly represented,we want more seats in the parliament. |

Message | Perhaps there should be 400 seats. 720 is a bit extreme. |

Message | I prefer 500. Since it would be 100 per region(depending on seat distribution methods) and with 100 it'll be 20 per region(with five regions the norm). Now, it's obvious that new comers will have some slight problems with the hundred system now, and using 100 seems a little cookie cutter. Afterall, all nations that start out have 100 seats and Parliament as the default. |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
