Message | Ah, but who's to say that after the global disarmament, no nation will ever produce nukes again? And who guarantees that we would indeed be the last nuclear power? I foresee many difficulties in this treaty. |

Message | bottem line is : we need to ban nuclear weapons... And even if some terrorist groups still have nuclear weapons: whether we have any or not will not stop them from using them. Many are prepared to die for their cause... |

Message | NO! We should always reserve the right to devlop Nuclear Weapons, after all they'll give you the damm "infuflence" ((CIS)) in the world that you want. |

Message | We like the idea, but: A. How would we be *sure* that we were the last such nation? B. How would we be sure that that situation continued? Do you have a plan for the unlearning of science? Short of bombing (with conventional bombs, I'd imagine) the physics department of every university in the world, I can't forsee that happening. |

We don't want ot ban nuclear power with this treaty, only nuclear weapons... research is allowed (such as nuclear fusion,...) |

Message | I have a feeling that neither of the two options in the bill will ever happen. The bill's intention is good, but I have no faith in its effectiveness. I shall therefore be voting against. |
