MessageLook - it will just confuse things if we make it Spanish. Anyway, we have used English since 2000. If you come up with an RP in which we suddenly change language I'd like to hear it. Otherwise, it's completely unrealistic.

MessageI like Spanish, personally. I won't force you to change my party name, you can't force me to change my party name. If pro-spanish parties get a constitutonal majority, we will change the official things to Spanish.

MessageHmmm. It's not often I see something this interesting in my mod crawlings...

From a completely neutral perspective here, Aloria has been anglophonic for 2.75 centuries. Having Spanish factions is a great idea and it's good to see an active nation, but having a complete overhaul all of a sudden from parties that have just arrived seems a little out of perspective. It'd take about 30-40 years for a language that has been subdued for a while to return to the fore and be widespread in the system regardless of how many spoke it in the underground as it were - just look at the case of RL Welsh being recognised in the 1970's when it was almost dead and not usually included in education, and now look at how established it is in Wales again, about 35 years later.

It'd seem more realistic if the change was a progression than a sudden switch. It happened in Darnussia because Darnussia (now Lusitania) was completely dead politically. The same with Quanzar (now Istalia). However, perhaps make this a chance to get Spanish recognised on par with English, establish a stranglehold and then change it to a superior language perhaps 20-25 in game years later. Recognising it would get it back in the education system of the state - then the generation who rise speaking it can enact the changes.

Just thought I'd offer my two cents/pennies/euro cents on the matter.

MessageAlthough we would have prefered our last compromise, we will nevertheless vote for this, in the belief that Spanish will gradually grow larger.

MessageResent agreements and changes in our policies has meant the conservatives no longer support the idea of a spanish nation. But however respect the fact we got a significant spanish minority, so we will change our vote from abstain to yes.
