Bill: Religious Schools for Recognized Religions only

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party of Telamon

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2076

Description[?]:

Why should we allow any cult to claim they're a religion? Jedi is a recognized religion in Australia, but i say not to allow it here.

The only religions to be recognized (assuming Real Life religions will work here)

Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, and unless i'm missing anything, just those 6.

As much as i wish G-d, will reveal himself to us, he has stopped.....those are the last of the organized religions, that are still practiced today.

MessageI dont see any reason to limit what religion can set up a school. As long as they are regulated so that they are teaching a minimum standard education and not teaching our children to be terrorists.

MessageI think I would have to agree with the Independents on this one, it would amount to discrimination and prejeduce. If there is regulation by the government then there would be no problem.

MessageAnd i said i understood that....

but what i don't want, is every cult, thinking they can create their own private schools.

This will limit it, to the actual religions....that have existed for more then a year. -.-

MessageThe NPP still sees it as discrimination. Think about it like this, "If a School of Science and Math is established, they would still have to meet strict education guidlines in other fields, (Literuature, Foreign Language, etc...)." This is a specialty school, just like a obscure religious school, would be a specialty school. They would still have to follow the guidlines set up by the state.

Messageand the CP, see's you as fool's as giving equal rights to ever Tom, Dick and Henry who asks for it.

You cannot give, all the time, or one day the nation shall fall into Anarchy.

I am not saying a Police State is any better, but it is much more better in comparison.

When we hear of the latest cynaide poisoning in "The School for Aliens for Jesus, Allaha nd Buddha", then we will hold you responsible for all their deaths.

MessageI disagree with the Conservatives. How do you define what a recognized relgion? If you are regulating what is going on in the schools then we souldn't have to deal with the "cyanide" problem the CP talks about. What if one day this bill is used to say, "Islam is not a recognized religiom, beacuse only 1% of the population is Muslim." This bill will cause much more problems then it solves.

MessageIt doesnt matter if some start up cult starts a school as long as it is being regulated to make sure they are keeping certain standards. If they are teaching terrorism, Im sure these current regulations would shut down that school.
