To protect marriage as either a religious or personal commitment, this act seeks to remove all government involvement from the tradition. Its terms, meaning, and importance may be decided by individuals, or where they allow it, their religious leaders, in concordance with the laws of Jakania and its regions. The government shall not involve itself in any way, including the defining of, religious or personal beliefs and traditions of the people. |
