Message | The provision of free contraception is a vital part of any programme to reduce the occurrence of STDs and to keep the number of abortions and unwanted pregnancies as low as possible. We would also like the PLP to provide some evidence to back up their ridiculous claim about contraceptives being unsafe. |

Message | Sorry, but we're in favour of liberal social policies, and this isn't down our street. Less contraception, more abortion, more suffering all round. |

Message | http://www.anael.org/english/contraceptives/ Ovaries development is totally complete at the age 18. If contraceptives are used before this age, sterility, sexual frigidity and infantile womb can happen. Using chemicals is dangerous, they must be perfectly chosen for the woman, otherwise it could end badly. I'm not wanting to ban them, but the state cannot take the responsibility for this risk. |

Message | Condoms also count as contraceptives, and are more what I had in mind. |

Message | Generally I have nothing against condoms, but they shouldn't be given out for free! That would just lead to 15-year olds haveing sex. |

Message | whereas not giving out condoms leads to 15-year olds having unprotected sex ..... I very much doubt the effect of contraception and its availability in changing the amount of sex happening in any real proportion. However they most definately do have an effect on the ratio of protected to unprotected sex occuring. People have always been willing to risk pregnancy and STD's for casual sex however when contraception is available they will often opt for protection as the best of both worlds. As for safety I always assumed only condoms and similar physical contraception were offered freely without human interaction ,I am indeed aware of the dangers and side-effects related to the contraceptive pill this should still be available freely easily and anonymously but should involve a doctor at first (or possibly a qualified pharmacist) to explain the effects of the pill (this should also be incorporated in the school sex education system). |

Message | Hey, PLP, are you a fan of Nicolaie Ceausescu, our former Stalinist leader? Because banning abortion and contraception in order to increase population growth was EXACTLY what he did. |

Message | Nahh, it's just populism ;) I know better ways of boosting the increase, but unfortunately no possibilities of cutting social services in this game... and Nicolaie... deserved to get shot :) |
