| The IADP has long championed the right of labor to be free from as much government regulation as possible, recognizing as we do the right of labor to bargain collectively for higher wages and better conditions. This plank also reaffirms our faith in the benefits coming from such competition. |

Current: Secondary strike action is illegal. Workers and unions can only go on strike for their own pay and conditions.
Proposed: Any trade union can go on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.
