Details

Submitted by[?]: True Valruzians

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2288

Description[?]:

We propose devolving the following matters to local government, or the school itself. Local government closer to the people and therefore is more accountable to the people, giving them a greater say in the running of their own affairs. Thus we propose that national government removes its authority in the following areas.

MessageNo that is not what matters, what matters is what is right and just. What is popular is not always right.

MessageHow is this not just? It will obviously be beneficial to those who have different languages as their first language to be taught in seperate schools. That is not unjust at all. It is unjust to force people who have different primary languages to be educated in schools that have a different teaching language.

MessageSo one system for all? Despite the fact there are at least four ethnic groups in Valruzia with their own languages?

MessageYes one system for all. The nation must be unified and strong, this can only be achived through a universal education system.

MessageWe still feel you are using this as an excuse to have racially segregated classes, many countries have populations with slight language differences and they manage.

MessageWhere does race come into it? So the UPP would be more than happy to restrain the learning of other 'first' languages in this country?
