| Message | The point of a strike is for the workers to put direct political pressure on their employers. If we restrict strikes from "critical" jobs we defeat the purpose of strikes. |

| Message | In this case the interest of the nation is more important than the right to strike for all employees. The VBD believe that fighting crime should continue during a strike. People should be treated in hospitals as well. We do not deny the right to strike but there is a limit. |
