Bill: Drug Legalisation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Party of Darnussia and Malivia
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2287
Description[?]:
I believe that we should legalise and regulate all naturally occuring drugs, particularly cannabis. This bill also legalises the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes. Drug use should not be considered a crime and those who use drugs should not be imprisoned. Instead, drug use will be regulated and state health care will help people who need help getting over their addictions to dangeorus substances. This way, we will save money, reduce the crime rate (at present, the drug dealers are making a huge profit off of illicit substances) and free up prison space. Our society should be open about these drugs rather than closed so that we can encourage a healthy lifestyle for all of our people. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
